Can I change or cancel my booking once it's completed?

Yes, follow the instructions below to cancel or change your booking.

If you have a VIA Rail profile

  • Access your profile (created when purchasing your ticket)
  • Select: "My bookings" in the menu
  • Click on the booking you want to modify to open the detailed view

Under "Manage booking" you will find all the options available to you.

  • View seat
  • Add/remove baggage
  • Change travel option
  • Modify dates, class, segments
  • Cancel booking

Click Modify or Cancel next to the trip you want to change.

Log in to modify

If you modify your booking, a new boarding pass will be sent by email. Note that some conditions apply for a booking modification.

If your booking cannot be modified online, please contact us at 1 888 VIA RAIL (1 888 842-7245) or TTY 1 800 268-9503 (for persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing).

 

If you don't have a VIA Rail profile

You can modify or cancel a booking online by accessing your reservation with your First name, Last name and booking confirmation number.

Under "Manage booking" you will find all the options available to you.

  • View seat
  • Add/remove baggage
  • Change travel option
  • Modify dates, class, segments
  • Cancel booking

Click Modify or Cancel next to the trip you want to change.
