IMPORTANT NOTICE: While VIA endeavours to operate on time, operating conditions often give rise to significant train delays on this service. Please take this into consideration as you plan your trip.

Important Notice: Trains 600, 601, 603 and 604

Train 601 on May 31 and June 2nd will depart 7 hours and 45 minutes later than the scheduled departure from Montreal and all stops along the route. En-route delays are expected.

Train 603 on May 31 and June 2nd will depart 7 hours and 45 minutes later than the scheduled departure from Montreal and all stops along the route. Delays are expected.

Train 600 on June 1st will depart 13 hours and 52 minutes later than the scheduled departure from Jonquière and all stops along the route. Delays are expected.

Train 604 on June 1st will depart 13 hours and 32 minutes later than the scheduled departure from Senneterre and all stops along the route. Delays are expected.

 

 

Important Notice: Trains 1 and 2
We are closely monitoring the wildfire situation in Alberta as it may impact service on trains 1 and 2. Impacted passengers will be notified directly should there be any service disruption.

 

 

Important notice: Trains 693 & 690
VIA Rail has been informed by the infrastructure owner (Arctic Gateway) that repairs are required between Gillam and Churchill and will be performed from July 9 to October 8, 2023, inclusively. As a result, please note that VIA Rail departures of trains #693 (departing Gillam on Monday) and #690 (departing Churchill on Tuesday) between Gillam and Churchill will be cancelled over that period.

Exceptions:

  • Train 693 of Sunday July 30, August 6 and August 20, 2023 will operate as per normal schedule from Winnipeg to Churchill.
  • Train 690 of Tuesday August 1, August 8 and August 22, 2023 will operate as per normal schedule from Churchill to The Pas.
