Accepted forms of payment vary depending on the selected route.
On board trains in the Québec City-Windsor corridor (including Niagara and the Ocean)
Traditional and prepaid credit cards (Amex, Visa and Mastercard), debit cards and VIA Rail gift cards are the only forms of payment accepted on board trains in the Québec City-Windsor corridor (including Niagara and the Ocean). No cash is accepted on these trains.
On board Sudbury-White River-Senneterre-Jonquière trains
Traditional and prepaid credit cards (Amex, Visa and Mastercard), cash and VIA Rail gift cards are the forms of payment accepted on board. Debit cards (including Visa and MasterCard debit) are not accepted.
Payment on board Jasper-Prince Rupert, Winnipeg-Churchill and The Canadian trains
Only traditional and prepaid credit cards (Amex, Visa and Mastercard) and cash are accepted.
