How do I access the mobile booking engine?
Just enter the address “m.viarail.ca” in the Web browser of your Internet-compatible mobile device.
TIP: We recommend that you add the site m.viarail.ca to your mobile device’s bookmarks so you can access the site more quickly later on. Every device is different, so we invite you to consult your owner’s manual or contact your mobile service provider for any assistance.
What type of device can I use to access m.viarail.ca?
You can access m.viarail.ca with most web-enabled devices. This functionality is supplied by your wireless service provider and certain fees may apply to its use. Please consult the owner’s manual of your mobile device or your service provider for more details.
What booking services are offered with the mobile site?
Currently, you can buy train tickets and travel passes, consult/confirm your bookings, and check train arrival and departure times.
For the moment, however, modifying a booking can only be done by calling our toll-free number in Canada or the United States: 1 888 VIA-RAIL (1 888 842-7245) or TTY 1 800 268-9503 (hearing impaired).

Open Browser (Safari)

Select Menu/Options button (circled in red below - note: icon differs by iPhone model, but location remains consistent)
Select Add to Home Screen
Enter name for the icon
Result: A VIA shortcut is added to the home page

Is my ticket refundable?
Tickets purchased using the mobile booking engine are subject to the same refund policy as any other booking made with VIA Rail.
Can I use the mobile booking engine to consult all my bookings and confirm them, even if I didn’t use it for the initial purchase?
Yes, you can check any booking made with VIA Rail, as long as you have a traveller profile.
Can you assure me that my credit card and personal information are protected?
Transactions conducted using the mobile booking engine benefit from SSL Protocol protection. The SSL Protocol ensures all credit card and personal information is encrypted before it is sent out over the Internet.
