Travel Advisory: VIA Rail adds new frequencies between Ottawa and Toronto

Ottawa, October 28, 2014 – VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) announces that new express train departures will be offered between Ottawa and Toronto as of October 31st to respond to the increasing demand. In 2013, approximately 480,000 passengers travelled on board VIA Rail trains along the Ottawa-Toronto route, representing an increase of 39% compared to 2012. One new frequency will be added in each direction Friday through Monday.
