Discount not applicable to Economy Plus fare tickets.
BOOKING PERIOD:
Eastern Time (ET): Tickets must be purchased between 10:00:00 a.m. on October 27, 2025, and 11:59:59 p.m. on January 15, 2026.
Pacific Time (PT): Tickets must be purchased between 7:00:00 a.m. on October 27, 2025, and 8:59:59 p.m. on January 15, 2026.
TRAVEL PERIOD:
For travel between Friday, December 12, 2025, and Thursday, January 15, 2026, inclusive.

HOW TO PURCHASE:
Online:
- Select the "Add a discount code" option in the booking engine and select the "CANADAFAM" option.
- Fares will be automatically adjusted if the trip meets the conditions of the promotion.
- Choose your preferred departure, and, if applicable, the return in the fare matrix.
- See applicable conditions.
- Payment must be made at the time of booking.
Bookings with the Economy fare can be made online, by phone, or at a VIA Rail station.
Bookings with the Escape fare can only be made online.

EXCLUSIONS:

Individuals under the age of 18 traveling alone are not eligible for the discount.

A valid government ID is required for at least one adult per reservation and all youth aged between 13 and 17 years old on that same reservation. These IDs must be presented either at the station or on board to VIA Rail agents. The identification document must be presented in its original form; photos or photocopies are not accepted.
Failure to provide the required valid IDs may result in denied boarding, additional charges, or detraining at the next station.
If the accompanying person is the father or mother, they may be under 18 years old; however, they must still pay the applicable fare. VIA Rail reserves the right to request proof of affiliation when the parent is under 18 years of age. This offer may be suspended, terminated, cancelled, or otherwise modified at any time at VIA Rail’s sole discretion.
