Infants (under 24 months):

Children under 24 months travel free provided that they do not occupy a seat. They must, however, be seated on an adult's lap throughout the trip (an adult can travel with only one infant on his or her lap).

Booking online:

If you want your child to have a seat, you must purchase a child’s ticket. Please note: to purchase a child's ticket online, you must reserve one or more tickets for the accompanying adult(s) at the same time.

Conditions

Kids aged 2-12 travel at 50% off in Economy class (not applicable in Business and Prestige classes) Kids aged 2-12 travel at 25% off in other classes (not applicable in Business and Prestige classes) including Sleeper class if the child occupies their own bed.

Baggage

Children and toddlers (ticket holders or travelling on an accompanying adult's lap) have the same hand baggage allowance as the accompanying adult.

DISCOUNT:

Accompanied children aged 2-12 travel for $20 in Economy class in the Québec City-Windsor corridor on Saturdays.

This offer applies to each segment of a one-way or round-trip.

This offer applies to Escape fare tickets in Economy class only. 

Minimum purchase three (3) days in advance required.

BOOKING PERIOD:

Eastern Time (ET): Tickets must be purchased between 8:00:00 a.m. on April 2, 2024, and 11:59:59 p.m. on June 25, 2024.

Pacific Time (PT): Tickets must be purchased between 5:00:00 a.m. on April 2, 2024, and 8:59:59 p.m. on June 25, 2024.

TRAVEL PERIOD:

For travel between April 6 and June 29, 2024, inclusively.

ROUTES:

Valid for travel in the Québec City-Windsor corridor.

CLASS OF SERVICE:

Economy class (Escape fare).

HOW TO PURCHASE:

Online:

• Choose your preferred departure, and, if applicable, the return in the fare matrix.
• Fares will be automatically adjusted if the trip meets the conditions of the promotion.

• Payment must be made at the time of booking.
• Tickets can also be purchased over the phone, at a VIA Rail station, or with a travel agent.

EXCHANGES:

As per the conditions of the fare chosen. Regular fares will be applied to exchanges made after June 25, 2024.

REFUNDS:

As per fare conditions chosen.

OTHER STANDARD CONDITIONS:

Seats at these fares are limited and subject to availability.
This offer may not be available on all days of week and all trains.
Three (3) day minimum advance purchase necessary.
Children aged 2-12 must be accompanied by at least one (1) adult of least 18 years of age. This promotion is not applicable to unaccompanied minors.
Up to five (5) children may travel for $20 per adult travelling on the same dates, trains, and between the same stations.
This promotion applies to new bookings only.
This promotion doesn’t apply to group bookings.
