Canada Strong   pass discount refund request form

If your trip qualifies for a Canada Strong Pass discount, you may be eligible for a partial refund.

To meet the eligibility requirements:

  • Your booking must have been made before January 16, 2026.
  • Your booking must have been made directly with VIA Rail, i.e., online at viarail.ca, or with a VIA agent by phone or at the station (no refunds are available if the booking was made with a third party).
  • Your travel dates are between June 19, 2026 and September 7, 2026, inclusive.
  • The refund request must be made BEFORE the trip is completed.
  • You must fulfill ALL the conditions of the Canada Strong Pass to be eligible for a refund. Review the conditions here.
  • The refund is not applicable on any booking originally made using another promotion or discount requiring a discount code, nor with any rail passes.

Please complete the online form below to submit your refund request. Make sure to submit your refund request before the date of your trip. Note that only one request is allowed per booking. All requests must be made using the online form and cannot be processed over the phone.

IMPORTANT: Kindly avoid contacting our Customer Support Center at this time, as we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls. All online requests will be treated in a timely manner.

NOTE:If your booking was originally made at one of our stations, please do not use this form. To claim your refund, you will need to visit the station in person. Kindly plan to arrive at the station 45 minutes prior to departure if you are travelling in the Corridor and 1 hour (60 minutes) prior for the long distance and regional services.

If you do not meet the conditions of the Canada Strong Pass discount no refund will be processed and you will not be contacted.
