VIA Rail modifies stops on the route to Senneterre and Jonquière

Montréal, June 27, 2017– VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) would like to inform its passengers that two train stops have been modified along its Montréal to Senneterre /Jonquière route to improve the service offering. Starting on July 3, 2017, train #600, 601, 602, 603, 604 and 606 will stop at the Sauvé and Anjou Réseau de transport métropolitain (formerly the AMT) stations.

NEW STOPS

Sauvé Station 

9600, Berri Street, Montréal

Train stops en route to Jonquière/Senneterre: 8:50 a.m.

Train stops en route to Montréal: Tuesday & Thursday: 4:41 p.m. / Sunday: 7:41 p.m.

Anjou Station

7260, 8e Rue, Montréal

Train stops en route to Jonquière/Senneterre: 9 a.m.

Train stops en route to Montréal: Tuesday & Thursday: 4:30 p.m. / Sunday: 7:30 p.m.

CANCELLED STOPS

In order to meet the highest safety standards for travellers, trains will no longer stop at Ahuntsic and L’Assomption stations. VIA Rail passengers will have the opportunity to use the new stops at Sauvé or Anjou, or to board the train in Joliette.

NEW SCHEDULE AND TRAIN NUMBERS

In addition, the departure time of trains #605 and 607 from Montréal will return to their previous schedule of 8:15 a.m. and will be renumbered as trains #601 and 603.
