Unveiled in June 2008, Promenade Samuel-De Champlain is a large green space along the St. Lawrence River between Quai des Cageux and Côte de Sillery in Québec City. This vast, 80,000-square-meter urban oasis, constructed by Commission de la capitale nationale du Québec, is the lasting legacy left by the Government of Québec to its capital city in honor of its 400th anniversary. Running along the river for almost 2.5 kilometers, it offers spectacular views of Québec City's shoreline and provides a wide range of activities - walking, biking, kayaking, interpretive tours, and a modern art park.
