The Devonian Botanic Garden is the premier botanic garden of the Prairies and a key attraction in the Edmonton area. Established in 1959, this northernmost botanical garden in Canada consists of 80 acres of formal gardens and another 110 acres of natural areas. Its many gardens include the Kurimoto Japanese Garden, the Patrick Seymour Alpine Garden, Native People’s Garden, a rose garden, extensive collections of lilacs and peonies, a magnificent herb garden, and a sensory and healing garden, along with several display greenhouses and a butterfly house. With its many activities, the Devonian Botanic Garden is the ideal destination for plant lovers, nature lovers, bird watchers and families.
