| Description | Every winter, the Rideau Canal, which winds through the heart of Ottawa, becomes the world's largest skating rink! This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers 7.8 kilometres (or 4.8 miles) of ice surface that's the equivalent area of 90 Olympic hockey rinks!
