| Description | Founded to commemorate the Fathers of Confederation and opened in 1964, the Confederation Centre of the Arts stands on the site of Charlottetown's old market square and houses several theatres, an art gallery, restaurants and a gift shop. For its construction, each province and the federal government contributed 15 cents per capita, making the institution the outcome of a dream shared by all Canadians. |
