This National Historic Site of Canada offers 55 acres of wonderful floral display in the heart of Victoria on Vancouver Island. Throughout the seasons there is always something blossoming in the gardens — from fragrant, winter-blooming shrubs to vibrant spring blooms to the red, russet and golden maples of autumn.
Explore exhibits about the exciting world of maritime history, including pirates, shipbuilding, whaling and fishing.
The MMBC is also home to three historic vessels: Tilikum, a modified cedar dug-out canoe dating back to 1901; Trekka, a handcrafted vessel that journeyed around the world beginning in 1955; and, Dorothy, the oldest sailing yacht on the Pacific Northwest Coast.
The coastal rainforest on Vancouver Island is a rare ecosystem that thrives alongside mossy forests, steep mountains and pristine beaches.
A visit to Pacific Rim National Park means encounters with sandy coves, giant 1,000-year-old cedars, First Nations culture, challenging trails, and wildlife in its natural habitat.
