Is Interac Online secure?
Yes, the Interac Online service is secure because:
- You do not need to enter any financial information, card numbers, or login information on the VIA Rail site.
- The payment is completed through your existing online banking service.
- No personal information is shared between VIA Rail and your financial institution.
How much does it cost to use Interac Online?
Your financial institution processes the payment and may charge a fee for this service. Contact your bank to inquire about any applicable fees.
What if I need to return or exchange my train ticket(s)?
If your ticket has not yet been issued, you must cancel your ticket by logging on to our online booking engine. The reimbursed amount will be directly deposited into the account you used to initially purchase the ticket.
If your ticket has already been issued, you must return with your ticket to the nearest VIA Rail ticket counter to obtain your reimbursement.
