Conditions of use for the VIA 6 pak

• The VIA 6 Pak entitles you to six discounted one-way trips in Economy class between the same two predetermined VIA Rail stations. You will have selected these two stations at the time of purchase.

Admissibility

• The VIA 6 pak is only available to students 18 years of age and over with an International Student Identity Card (ISIC), or between 12 and 17 with proof of age.
• The minimum price of a VIA 6 pak is $84.

Period of validity

• The VIA 6 pak is valid for 12 months from the first date of travel you requested or until expiry of the ISIC, whichever comes first.

How to use the VIA 6 pak

• Even though you have a VIA 6 pak, you must book a ticket for every journey. As the number of seats is limited, we recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance.
• To book tickets with your VIA 6 pak, go to one of our ticket counters or contact us at 1 888 VIA-RAIL (1 888 842-7245) or TTY 1 800 268-9503 (hearing impaired). Do not forget to mention to the sales agent that you are a VIA 6 pak holder. At this time, you cannot purchase tickets using your 6 Pak on our web site.
• You will need to show your VIA 6 pak and your ISIC (or proof of age if you are under 18 years of age) when picking up or exchanging tickets, as well as on board our trains.
• Your VIA 6 pak is only valid for travel in Economy class between the two stations you selected at the time of purchase (you can also travel to points located between those stations if you wish).

Other conditions

• The VIA 6 pak is not transferable to another person.
• Stopovers are not allowed for tickets issued with VIA 6 pak.
• It is possible to upgrade to first class accommodations for an extra charge. Contact VIA for more information.

Refunds

• Your VIA 6 pak can be refunded only if it has not been used. A $50 service charge will be deducted.
• No refund will be given for lost or stolen VIA 6 paks.
