Giving a VIA Rail gift card is giving the joy of travelling. What's more, our gift cards are affordable for any budget: as a fixed amount of $25 or $100, or as a Flex option which allows you to predefine the purchase amount.
How to buy your gift card
Please purchase your gift card at one of our train stations.
Please note: Flex cards, purchased in the amount of your choice, are only available from ticket counters located in our stations.
Redeeming a gift card
Take your gift card to a VIA Rail ticket counter to book train tickets for travel to any VIA destinations across Canada, as well as purchase travel passes, which offer guaranteed savings throughout the country.
Please note: Gift cards are not valid for online purchases or purchases made on board the train.
Check the balance of your gift card
Once the card is activated, you can check the balance of your gift card online or by calling 1 888 VIA RAIL (1 888 842-7245). You will be asked to quote or enter the 20-digit serial number appearing on the gift card. Gift cards are not redeemable for cash. Lost or stolen cards will not be replaced. Unused amounts will not be reimbursed.
