We strongly recommend that passengers travelling in Sleeper Plus Class to check in at the VIA ticket counter (or the Business lounge) in the VIA station of their departure city at least 90 minutes prior to departure and to call VIA Rail the day of departure to inquire about possible delays in departure time.

Consult the schedules on the Toronto - Vancouver route
Due to maintenance work by METROLINX, the track owner, trains 84 and 87 were replaced by buses on May 11-12, June 8-9 and July 13-14.
Due to maintenance work by the railway infrastructure owner on May 4-5, there will be no service to or from the Guildwood Station, and some trains will use a detour. Our schedules have been adjusted to account for this detour. Details here.

The Sleeper Plus class offers exclusive and privileged access to the departure Business lounges at Toronto, Winnipeg and Vancouver.
This route offers a smoke-free environment. Those who wish to smoke will be able to do so during regular station stops at Capreol, Hornepayne, Sioux Lookout, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Jasper and Kamloops.
Wi-Fi is not offered on this train. It is available, however, at these stations: Vancouver, Jasper, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Toronto.
Please note that most sleeping cars on the Canadian were renovated. However, it may happen that non-renovated sleeping cars are added to some trains to meet demand or to replace cars scheduled for maintenance.
