During its long lifespan, this car has belonged to eight different owners, including a private owner who named it after the city of Memphis, and BC Rail, where it was dubbed "Pavilion".
When it was built in 1939, the car was known as the "Biscayne Bay".
The Pavilion car was acquired by VIA Rail as part of a larger transaction, but remains inactive. It is currently stored at the Montréal Maintenance Centre.
