Steve Del Bosco, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer

As Chief Marketing and Sales Officer, Steve Del Bosco oversees all marketing and sales components at VIA to increase both passenger and non passenger-related revenues. He is also in charge of Customer Relations, Revenue Management and Pricing, and Business Development.

Since joining the company in 1978 as a market research and forecast analyst, he has held a variety of positions related to sales, marketing and customer experience. Working as director, Strategic Planning and Marketing Services, he led a multi-departmental team in charge of redefining and relaunching VIA’s Business class in the Quebec City Windsor corridor, and was also responsible for the successful launch of the Montreal-Toronto express train. Over the last 25 years, he led several market studies on high-speed rail in Canada.

Between 2006 and 2010, he held the position of Chief Customer Officer and was in charge of all activities directly related to customer experience, particularly product design, sales and marketing along with services provided through Telephone Sales Offices, in stations and on board trains. Since March 2010, he has been focusing his efforts on marketing and sales.

Mr. Del Bosco graduated from McGill University and recently completed the International Masters Program in Practicing Management. He is a member of the advisory board for the McGill University Executive Institute, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council at both the Conference Board of Canada and Forrester Research Group and represents VIA on various travel industry association and councils.
