Temporary Service Interruption of VIA Rail's Trains Between Thompson and The Pas

Winnipeg, August 14, 2014 ‎–Following the derailment of a Hudson Bay Railway freight train, VIA Rail Canada (viarail.ca) is forced to interrupt its services between Thompson and the Pasuntil further notice. Passengers scheduled to travel on the affected routes will be offered alternate transportation.Trains #692 and #693 will continue to operate between Churchill and Thompson, and The Pas and Winnipeg, according to the normal schedule.

Customers wishing to cancel or change their date of travel may do so at no additional charge by calling 1 888 VIA-RAIL (1 888 842-7245) or 1 800 268-9503 (hearing impaired).
