VIA Rail announces two exciting new products perfect for back-to-school

Montréal, August 13, 2014 – VIA Rail Canada announces two new products just in time for back-to-school. These new products are available for travellers aged 12-25 years old (and 26+ with ISIC card): the 20/20 Discount Card and the Unlimited Semester Pass. "We are pleased to introduce this new card and pass, as part of an important initiative to encourage young people to discover Canada with VIA Rail. Whether travelling between schooland home, visiting friends or exploring new destinations, these discounts make train travel more attractive and affordable. Also, VIA offers complementary Wi-Fi on the Québec City-Windsor corridor, making young travellers trips seamlessly connected", says Martin R. Landry, Chief Commercial Officer.

The 20/20 Discount Card, priced at $20 + taxes, is valid for one year and provides a 20% savings off on Economy or Economy Plus fares across VIA Rail’s network. It also offers a 10% discount on VIA Rail’s most affordable Escape fares.

The Unlimited Semester Pass allows unlimited travel between Kingston – Windsor or Kingston – Québec City, valid for 120 days, in Economy class for $499 + taxes.
