VIA Rail will offer a return trip between Winnipeg and Gillam

Montréal, June 7, 2014 – Following the concerns expressed by some communities from Northern Manitoba, VIA Rail Canada (viarail.ca) wishes to inform its passengers that trains #693 and #692 will do one round trip between Winnipeg and Gillam: train #693 will leave Winnipeg on Sunday, June 8th, at 12:05 p.m. and train #692 will leave Gillam on Wednesday, June 11th, at 5:30 a.m. Both trains will operate according to the normal schedule. VIA Rail will not offer any alternate transportation between Gillam and Churchill. Further communications will follow concerning the service over the next week on this line.
