Railway Crossings Back to Normal: Fallowfield Road, Greenbank Road, Jockvale Road and Strandherd Road

Montréal, April 24, 2014 -Following maintenance work that took place over recent weeks, VIA Rail announces that operations at crossings located at Fallowfield Road, Greenbank Road, Jockvale Road and Strandherd Roadwill return to normal on April 24th at 7 p.m.

For crossings located on Woodroffe Avenue and the OC Transpo Transitway, temporary measures announced on April 10th will remain in effect until further notice: (1) personnel will continue to be on-site to provide supplementary support and maintenance to automatic warning devices, and to ensure that motorists and pedestrians stop at each crossing; and (2) trains will continue to run at reduced speed in this area.

VIA Rail reminds everyone to respect crossing signals at all times. No one should attempt to cross a railroad track when the warning devices are activated, regardless of the inconvenience it may cause.
