Railroad Blockade in the [TOWN] Area

MONTREAL, January X, 2013 - VIA Rail wishes to advise customers that following the clearance of the railway tracks in the area of [town], Ontario, all services have returned to normal on the Montréal-Ottawa-Toronto routes. 

Earlier this evening a railroad blockade caused 12 trains to stop travelling. Approximately 2,500 passengers were impacted as a result. Delays between 3 to 5.5 hours are to be expected for passengers travelling this evening. 

VIA does not anticipate any significant delays to its operations tomorrow as a result of tonight's events.
