VIA Rail provides special measures to facilitate access to Central Station

Montréal, June 10, 2012 — VIA Rail Canada wishes to inform its passengers that the following special measures will be taken at Montréal’s Central Station from Monday, June 11th to Thursday, June 14th, to facilitate access to the station during the International Economic Forum of the Americas, Conference of Montréal, being held at the Montréal Bonaventure Hilton.

As the entrance on de la Gauchetière Street may be congested, VIA strongly recommends that the public use the access points located at either 800 René Lévesque Boulevard West or via the Place Ville-Marie shopping concourse. The taxi queues and bus stops will be relocated accordingly to accommodate passengers.

During the event, VIA Rail also suggests that passengers departing from Central Station arrive earlier, as a higher than usual traffic volume in the area is expected.
