- Will ensure a full schedule and additional capacity as required -

MONTRÉAL (Québec), March 8, 2012 – In light of the current labour relations uncertainty at Air Canada, VIA Rail has indicated that it will continue to operate a full train schedule over the coming days, and will add capacity as required.

"We feel it is proper to reassure passengers about their travel options when events could impact Canada’s travel system. Within this context and from a customer service perspective, VIA Rail will use all of its resources to offer the public the best level of service possible," said Steve Del Bosco, VIA's Chief Marketing and Sales Officer.
