VIA Rail ready to handle increase in demand - No Train Cancellations


TORONTO
– With a major storm underway in Ontario VIA reports no cancellations to its services in the Ontario – Quebec corridor. Its morning trains are currently running on schedule. 

With the heavy snowfall and poor driving conditions VIA encourages customers to allow plenty of time to make it to the station and to pick up their tickets as line-ups are expected to be longer than normal. 

Travellers can check on the status of VIA’s operations throughout the day at /en/trains VIA operates some 60 trains per day throughout the Ontario –Québec Corridor and will add cars where possible to meet the increased demand. Passengers are therefore advised to book as early as possible to ensure space is available.
