All trains operating despite winter storm conditions

TORONTO, December 14, 2010
– With a winter storm hitting much of southern Ontario, VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that all trains in the Ontario – Québec corridor are operating.

The inclement weather is causing some delays and efforts are in place to clear heavy snow accumulation from the tracks and switches as quickly as possible. As a result, some significant delays are expected.

In particular, Train 84 departing from Sarnia en route to London and Toronto, will depart around 9:00am this morning.

Information and reservations are available at viarail.ca, at 1 888 VIA-RAIL (888 842-7245), TTY 800-268-9503 (hearing impaired), or through your travel agent.

VIA sincerely regrets any inconvenience these delays may cause to its passengers.
