MONTREAL - January 16th, 2013 - VIA Rail wishes to advise customers that following the clearance of the railway tracks in the area of Marysville, Ontario, all services have returned to normal on the Montréal-Ottawa-Toronto routes.

Earlier this evening a railroad blockade caused 10 trains to stop travelling in Belleville or Kingston. More than 850 passengers were impacted as a result. Delays of two hours or less are to be expected for passengers travelling this evening.

VIA does not anticipate any significant delays to its operations tomorrow as a result of tonight's events.
