VIA's train service between The Pas and Thompson interrupted due to work train derailment

Montreal, August 12th 2010 - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that due to a work train derailment on the Wekusko Subdivision, train services will be replaced by bus between The Pas and Thompson. 

VIA has been advised by the Hudson Bay Railway (HBR) Company that line clearance is expected for 16:00 on August 13th, 2010. 

VIA wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this disruption, which is beyond VIA's control, may cause to its customers.
