MODIFICATION OF SCHEDULE OF VIA RAIL SERVICE BETWEEN HALIFAX AND MONTREAL, EFFECTIVE JUNE 1ST

MONTRÉAL,  June 1, 2016 - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers of a schedule change which will come into effect today, June 1, 2016 to trains # 14 and # 15 travelling between Montréal and Halifax.

Train # 14 | Montréal - Halifax: The train will leave Montréal 5 minutes later (19:00 instead of 18:55) and will arrive in Halifax 16 minutes later (17:51 instead of 17:35).

The connection from Toronto to Montréal - Halifax remains the same, with train # 64 (departure from Toronto at 11:30 / arrival in Montréal at 16:47). From Ottawa, passengers can continue to travel on board train # 28 (departure from Ottawa at 16:10 / arrival in Montréal at 17:57) to connect to train # 14.

Train # 15 | Halifax - Montréal: The train will leave Halifax 1 hour later (13:00 instead of 12:00) and will arrive in Montréal 45 minutes later (10:03 instead of 09:18).

Passengers wishing to continue their trip to Toronto can travel on board train # 65 (departure from Montréal at 10:55 / arrival in Toronto at 16:03). Passengers going to Ottawa can connect on train # 35 (departure from Montréal at 11:00 / arrival in Ottawa at 13:45).
