VIA's train service between Montreal and Senneterre resumes following major forest fires in Northern Mauricie

Montreal, June 2, 2010 – VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that services between Montreal and Senneterre are scheduled to return to normal on Thursday, June 3, following major forest fires in the northern St. Maurice region. The train service had not been operating since last week.
Train 604 travelling from Senneterre to Montreal on Thursday, June 3, 2010 will operate normally.
VIA wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this disruption, which was beyond VIA’s control, may have caused to its customers.
