UPDATE -- VIA's train service between Hervey and Senneterre remain interrupted due to major forest fires in Northern Mauricie

Montreal, May 29, 2010 – VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that services between Hervey and Senneterre cannot operate due to major forest fires on the St-Maurice Subdivision in Northern Mauricie.
Train 606: Travelling from Senneterre to Hervey on Sunday May 30, 2010 is cancelled.
VIA wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this disruption, which is beyond VIA’s control, may cause to its customers.
Further updates will be issued once normal operations have resumed.
