VIA Rail Canada offers an alternate service to the residents of La Tuque and Parent during the suspension of train service on the Montreal-Senneterre route

Montréal – VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that an alternate service will be provided to the residents of La Tuque and Parent during the suspension of train service on the Montréal-Seneterre route.
Transportation by bus will be offered two times a week: on Tuesdays and Thursdays with departure from La Tuque station at 9 AM and Parent station at 1:30 PM, at the same fee as a train ticket.
This exceptional measure is due to a Canadian National (CN) freight derailment near Saint-Tite, on November 21st. VIA wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this disruption, which is beyond VIA’s control, may cause to its customers.
