To take advantage of this offer, please present a valid Sunlight coupon to a VIA ticket agent when your ticket is issued. Limit of one coupon per ticket. No facsimiles accepted.

The Sunlight Family Savings in-store booklet promotion is now over. If you have valid coupons left, you can still redeem them until the expiry date indicated.

Offer

Your Sunlight coupon entitles you to a 50% discount on the adult regular fare for Economy class. A blackout period applies.

Please note that the free child’s ticket offer ended September 15, 2009.

Conditions

• Valid for a 50% discount on the adult regular Economy class fare for one-way or round trip travel from anywhere in the VIA Rail network.
• Travel must be completed between April 1 and December 14, 2009 or between January 6 and March 31, 2010 (inclusive).
• Blackout period is between December 15, 2009 and January 5, 2010 (inclusive).
• Coupon is not valid for travel booked to any other destination or on any other dates.
• Bookings must be made online at viarail.ca at least three days prior to departure. Bookings cannot be made by telephone or directly at a VIA station.
• Once booked, tickets are completely non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
• One original coupon must be surrendered for each passenger travelling to a VIA ticket agent at the time of ticket issuance. No facsimiles accepted.
• Tickets must be purchased at least three days prior to departure. The number of seats available in Economy class on this special fare is limited.
• Your ticket will be considered purchased at the time of the online transaction. If you already have tickets issued under a different fare plan and wish to exchange them to take advantage of this special offer, any service charges applicable to your original purchase will be collected when your new tickets are issued.
• Not applicable to group or Priva bookings.
• The offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or discount (except for the "Kids Travel Free" discount).
• The offer cannot be combined with any other promotion or discount and is not valid for tickets issued using a pass product including, but not limited to, Canrailpass, Corridorpass, BizPak, 6 Pak, Discount e-pass, or railway employee passes.
• No additional discounts for seniors, youth, students or children apply.
• Applicable to new bookings only; minimum fares and other conditions may apply.
• Non-commissionable to travel agents and tour operators.

How to book online at viarail.ca:

• Log on with your profile, or create one prior to booking.
• Choose Economy – Discounted fare in the "Select class and fare plan" drop-down menu for your chosen departure. The discount will not apply to travel booked in any other class.
• On the "Passengers Information" screen, select Other Special Discount in the "Discount Type" field.
• Enter 11472 as the "Discount Code".  No serial number is required.
• Your fare will be automatically adjusted if your trip meets the conditions of this promotion.
• Since you must surrender your original coupon(s) to a VIA agent when your tickets are issued, your ticket must be issued by a VIA agent and not at a self-service ticketing kiosk.
